29.04.2020 This is the latest release of the next generation plugin offering higher performance data export. In contrast to the existing COLLADA exporters for Max, this new plugin doesn't store the COLLADA document into an intermediate data model but writes it directly to file. This leads to a dramatic reduction of memory consumption and to much better performance. As the official OpenCollada plugin hasn't been updated for recent Max versions, Remi has kindly added support for Max 2019 to 2021. The official COLLADA web site is here. |

11.02.2020 This beta importer can handle both LWOB and LWO2 file formats, but at the moment will only import meshes with no texture coordinates. It works with simple objects, but will probably fail on complex scenes. It can also only import a maximum of 50,000 vertices per scene (at the moment). |
